Angelique Fullwood is a communication strategist and an award winning student journalist, editor, film maker and grassroots organizer from Tampa, Florida.
Angelique is dedicated to helping lift up people from marginalized communities- in particular Black and indigenous women, including trans and non binary people- to achieve equity and access. Her mission is to use skills in storytelling and communication to shift resources to communities that need it and dismantling systems that actively prevents our communities from thriving.
She has MA in Political Communication at American University a B.S in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Florida A&M University. She currently resides in the Washington D.C. Metro area.
Fullwood served as the Editor-in-Chief of Journey Magazine, FAMU’s award winning student magazine. She is a member of the 2018 New York Times Student Journalism Institute and a 2017 Online News Association HBCU fellow. She is a member of NABJ and SPJ. She enjoys amateur photography, attending live hip hop shows, art exhibits, and meditation and yoga.
